Amazing Man Made Islands in Dubai

The Palm Islands are an artificial archipelago in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on which major commercial and residential infrastructures will be constructed. They are being constructed by Nakheel Properties, a property developer in the United Arab Emirates, who hired Belgian and Dutch dredging and marine contractor Jan De Nul and Van Oord, some of the world’s specialists in land reclamation. The islands are the Palm Jumeirah, the Palm Jebel Ali and the Palm Deira. Each settlement will be in the shape of a palm tree, topped with a crescent, and will have a large number of residential, leisure and entertainment centers. The Palm Islands are located off the coast of The United Arab Emirates in the Persian Gulf and will add 520 kilometres of beaches to the city of Dubai. The first two islands will comprise approximately 100 million cubic meters of rock and sand. Palm Deira will be composed of approximately 1 billion cubic meters of rock and sand. All materials will be quarried in the UAE. Among the three islands there will be over 100 luxury hotels, exclusive residential beach side villas and apartments, marinas, water theme parks, restaurants, shopping malls, sports facilities and health spas. The creation of the Palm Jumeirah began in June 2001. Shortly after, the Palm Jebel Ali was announced and reclamation work began. The Palm Deira, which is planned to have a surface area of 46.35 square kilometres, was announced for development in October 2004. Construction was originally planned to take 10–15 years, but that was before the impact of the global credit crunch hit Dubai.

The Al Farooq Omar Bin Al Khattab Mosque in Dubai is named after Omar, a close companion of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). The area of mosque’s interior is 4,200 square metres that can house 2,000 worshippers at a time and is expected to open before Ramadan, which is expected to start in August. (more…)

Because Dubai is one of the Emirates in the United Arab Emirates, is considered to be the most happening city in the world. Unlike many other Arab nations, Dubai is modern with lax rules. It is a hub for many expatriates who live and work in the Middle East. The visitors of this city can have fun exploring the various tourist spots and other attractions of Dubai. Akilah shares some of the best Dubai tourist attractions are Aerogulf Services, Al Boom Tourist Village, Archaeological Sites, Bait Al Wakeel, Bastakiya, Bedouin Village, Burj Nahar, Deira Covered Souk (District), Dubai Creek, Dubai Museum, Dubai World Trade Centre, Gold Souk, Grand Mosque, Hatta Mountains, Jumeirah Mosque, Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum House (Museum), Shindagha and Spice Souk.

Friend todays we are going to intorduce a really cute arab girl Sadiah from Sharjah. Sadiah is student of bachelor degree in HCT Sharjah Womens College. The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) was established in 1988. The system of the Higher Colleges of Technology is a community of more than 16,000 students and almost 2,000 staff based on 16 campuses throughout the United Arab Emirates (UAE) – the largest higher education institution in the UAE. Lujaina Qamar has sent her photo from Dubai. Lujaina is well-education arab woman. In the picture she is lying at Jumeirah Beach. Jumeirah beach is one of the most luxurious beaches of Dubai. Lujaina tells that the beaches in Dubai are world class, but not content with the fine golden sands, which surround the city, they have imported trendy white sands from Algeria to coat the beaches. The beaches in Dubai rank among the most beautiful in the world with clean wide sandy areas for sunbathing and relaxing at Jumeirah Beach. Swimmers of all ages enjoy the warm and calm waters of this Persian Gulf region. Equipment rentals from kayaks, sailboards, paddle boats and beach chairs and umbrellas are readily available. Taking a boat trip around the harbor offers a relaxing way to see the famous Burj Al Arab, the sailboat shaped towering hotel, and to enjoy the warm breezes. For anyone wanting a cool place to unwind, an indoor ski park provides all equipment and hours of fun in the fabricated snow.
