In the presence of strikingly attended by personalities from different walks of Iraq the  selection ceremony of Miss Baghdad held in the Iraqi Hunting Club.  Have participated in this event 15 contestants from different ages ranging between 15 and 25 years. And was able to Yasmin, aged 17 years to win all the voices of the jury sits on the throne of beauty in Baghdad in 2009. Competition restored joy to the Iraqi house hungry for the efficiencies of joy and contributed to the support of Iraqi women to participate in cultural and artistic activities.

Friends this profile is of Aishah Hossain. Aishah has sent her snap from Baghdad, Iraq. Aishah has recently done graduation. She writes in her email that it was her dream to masters but unfortunately she can’t go out for education in any higher institute. Aishah more tells that the picture was taken last month when she was attending marriage ceremony of her cousin. Aishah is totally free from education these days and spends most of her time in cooking, reading historical books of Islam and using Internet.

Iraqi Girl Ruqayyah Teaching In A School

Ruqayyah Saleh has sent her photo from Baghdad. Ruqayyah is doing the job of school teacher in Baghdad city. She writes in her email that she joined this job four months ago after the completion of graduation. Ruqayyah tells that school teaching is not an easy job particularly at primary level. Primary schooling or education is basically the first stage of an individual’s compulsory education because reading student’s mind and concentration level is not an easy task to deal with specially for children. It requires a good amount of patience, analyzing capability, frequency matching and most importantly adaptability. Teaching in primary school could be somewhat of a feat. The subjects that are usually taught to primary school children would be basic literacy as well as learning numbers. Foundations in geography, history, science and other social sciences are also taught in primary school.

Ruqayyah more tells that there are various methods and techniques in teaching these children, which you can use and they would usually depend on the mission and objectives of the particular schools. Some of these methods would be through conventional teaching, games, songs and other activities. Song and other fun games and activities usually serve as effective ways of teaching these children and have been made as notable features of the established primary education system. Well Ruqayyah you are doing a great job. We pray that you may continue it through out your life.

Sanaa Yusuf from Fallujah

Sanaa writes in her email that she has noted that many arab girls who joined this site are not wearing hijab which is not good. Sanaa tells that hijab is must for every Muslim woman. I am going to tell you what is Hijab? Hijab as a piece of cloth is derived from the Arabic word for “cover/conceal”. The common use of hijab is for “head cover” which conceals all but the face of the woman according the verses of the holy Qur’an 24:31. Rather than being the symbol of oppression it liberates the women from the sexual objectification to the status of respect and honour in society.
